Following graduation from Newcastle University in 2001 Liz Wilson was selected into a graduate program with Commonwealth Bank of Australia. Liz became a branch lender and relief branch manager within nine months of entering the program.
Whilst working at a branch was enjoyable, Liz wanted to bring more options to clients, and offer a distinct service where being caught up in transactional products was not the core focus.
Wilson Financial was therefore founded in 2003 based in Ultimo Sydney from 2003 to 2005. In 2005 to 2010 Liz moved to Port Douglas in Queensland’s Far North. Exposing her to regional lending, and the large self employed market. Liz won the prestigious “Young Gun of the Year” and “Rookie of the Year” at the 2008 Australian Mortgage Awards in Sydney, even though she felt like she was living at the end of the earth, going to the Australian Mortgage Awards and taking out two iconic distinctions that night was a good win for regional lending.
In 2010 Liz moved the business to Bowral in the Southern Highlands, where she now has three children with her chef partner. Liz’s expertise with Self Employed clients, and her now 18 years finance experience means she can offer an unprecedented level of service, acting as a singular point of contact to manage your financial needs from inception to completion. Liz’s philosophy is simple, “provide the best customer service solution, it’s about customers for life”.
