Ausure and Insure247 Staff Give Back

Ausure and Insure247 staff rallied together in December to give back to the community and bring some joy and support to those that need it.

Be An Elf

For the fourth year running, staff members took part in the ‘Be An Elf’ initiative. Staff members that chose to participate received a ‘Christmas’ list from underprivileged children. The thoughtful initiative, which has been around since 2012 has been a favourite for our staff for many years.

“The Be An Elf’ project is a fantastic way to give back to the  community, especially with so many families doing it tough at the moment. With so many worthy charities around to choose it’s always difficult to pick just one to support each Christmas – but Ausure staff always enjoy taking part in this particular initiative because you feel a little closer connected to the recipient having received their handwritten list.” Charline Mitchener, Marketing Manager of Ausure explains.

The ‘Be an Elf’ Headquarters is based in Beenleigh, Queensland. The charity runs a number of other drives throughout the year to further support those in need. If you would like to find out more about the Be An Elf Christmas drive, you can visit their Facebook page here.

Variety – The Children’s Charity of QLD

John Mills, Broking Manager of Ausure – put his mind and muscles to good use recently by participating in yet another charity initiative. The program sees participants paired with recipients all over Australia that are in need of support in varying forms.

John was paired with Dexter Grant. Dexter is 6 years old and has a number of special needs. John’s goal was to raise enough money for a Vuly Play Set (trampoline and swing set valued at $2,000) for Dexter. The family applied for this equipment through NDIS and was declined.

John has raised over $1600 so far and attended Dexter’s house in December to assemble the play set with Paul Reis from High Street Underwriting Agency who is also a participant in the very worthy cause.

“It was such a privileged opportunity to meet Dexter and his family just before Christmas. Big Thanks to Paul and Dexter’s family for allowing and making it happen. The day was super to see Dexter and his siblings enjoy the completed Vuly Play Set and it really encouraged me to get cracking to reach my $3,500 in donations. With everyone’s help, I can get there before the end of February god willing! Thank you to everyone who has supported me so far, I still get overwhelmed with people’s generosity”  John Mills.
