Ausure Mudgee owner, Craig Brennan Retires, resulting in a second purchase for Ausure Newcastle
Ausure Newcastle have acquired Ausure Mudgee, its second purchase within just days of finalising their purchase of Ausure Byron Bay on August 31. Ausure Newcastle have continued to expand their national presence through a series of acquisitions in NSW.
“Ausure Mudgee seamlessly complements our existing Ausure branches in Dubbo and Orange. It’s a fantastic fit for us, primarily because it has proven to work exceptionally well in its operations. Our team at Ausure Orange is top-notch, and when the opportunity to merge arose, they showed immense enthusiasm and readiness to join forces. Craig Brennan, who is retiring from Ausure Mudgee, brings a wealth of insurance expertise and a client-centric approach that closely aligns with our values and service philosophy. This alignment in our vision and the exceptional people we hold within our organisation made this acquisition an opportunity we couldn’t pass up. We’re excited about the future and the enhanced services we can offer our clients through this integration.” David Summers, Principal of Ausure Newcastle.
Their latest acquisition of Ausure Mudgee, will allow them to further extend their footprint in the rural space and aligns with their focus on providing localised and tailored insurance solutions with the backing of national strength and resources.

Craig Brennan, owner of Ausure Mudgee, decided it was time to sell his book after finding it difficult to continue on as a one man operation. Craig began his long career as a Cadet Broker in 1980 with an International Broking House based in London. “When I returned to Australia in 1983 I started my Brokerage with Tony Powell. I am 64, and find it difficult to continue on as a single Broker with many different contingencies these days. Ausure Newcastle are large enough to provide support to my existing Portfolio. My Daughter lives in the UK and the Family has a new addition whom I am eager to spend time with, and eventually retire there.”
Craig Brennan will continue to be part of the team for some time in an advisory role to assist with handover and client relationships.
