Coastsure acquires Ausure Insurance Brokers Gold Coast

Coastsure Insurance Brokers Pty Ltd has acquired Ausure Gold Coast Insurance Brokers, effective
from 1st November 2023.
Coastsure MD David Beard says, “Ausure Gold Coast (Ausure GC) and Coastsure service a similar
range of clients, and there were obvious synergies, with Ausure Gold Coast already part of the
Ausure network. Importantly for clients, the acquisition provides a seamless continuity in terms
of the type of personal, professional service.” he highlights as a hallmark of the Ausure Network
brand.
Richard Bell, the Authorised Representative currently servicing the Ausure Gold Coast portfolio,
will be assisting with the integration of the portfolio into Coastsure, before pursuing another
business opportunity in an unrelated field on Magnetic Island. Richard shares, “We do have
plans to buy another similar accommodation business but are not rushing into anything. A good
holiday is on the cards first.”
Richard Bell purchased the business in 2015 and moved the license to Ausure in 2009, after
previously being with another Broking Group. “Ausure was a far better broking group in terms of
the support given by head office staff.” On why he chose Coastsure for the sale of his business,
Richard Bell shared, “Having known Rolf and David from nearly day 1 at Ausure, I feel confident
my clients will receive the same (or better) service from them. They understand my service
levels and have made me comfortable with the process going forward. Also, the sales process
was straightforward and Rolf made the process relaxed, which is very important when you are
looking to sell/retire.”
