Developing leaders at Ausure
Ausure is delighted to announce two members of our team have been honoured with selection to participate in Hollard’s Aspire Women’s Leadership Program. Ellie Laidlaw is Chief Financial Officer for the Ausure Group and Liz Alexandre leads the Broking Team at Ausure Insurance Brokers Brisbane.
Hollard received over 80 applications, with 22 people selected from 21 companies in Australia. Ausure is delighted two of our team members were chosen.
Aspire is an intensive 12-month program equipping participants with executive skills to support excellence in senior leadership positions. Participants are given the opportunity to grow, both personally and professionally, and make a meaningful difference to their organisations, as well as the greater insurance community.

Ellie Laidlaw reflects, “I’m really happy that I have been selected to be part of the Aspire Women Leaders Program. I’m looking forward to the practical aspects of the course i.e. applying what is learnt to our business. Also, the opportunity to network with other women in the industry. I appreciate the time and support Ausure is giving me to do this course.”

Liz Alexandre says, “I think it is exciting that this program is being offered to women in the insurance industry. I’m looking forward to further developing and learning new skills that I can apply in my role at Ausure to make myself a better leader and mentor to my team.”
Ausure CEO Scott McCarthy says, “We are proud of the calibre of all our management and team members. We are pleased to receive the news of these top-class selections. The application process was extensive, so this selection is indeed an excellent accomplishment and we strongly support Ellie and Liz in participating in this professional program.”
This is the first time Hollard is running this program externally and for female brokers with support from Steadfast. The Aspire program has been run internally at Hollard in previous years and won the 2018 Australian HR awards for best leadership program.
