One of our clients owns a rural pub in Victoria. Madeline Chamberlain, our Senior Broker in Rutherford Street Swan Hill did the insurance pre-renewal review with the insured. Maddie discussed the underinsurance clause with the insured and advised it would be worth getting a quantity survey report completed to provide a more comprehensive analysis.
MCQ Quantity Surveyors was engaged and did a thorough job surveying the property.
When MCG provided the quantity survey report, it revealed the pub owners were actually underinsured by just over a whopping $1 million on the property sum insured and 21 months short for the Business Interruption indemnity period.
Ausure provided the report to the insured along with an endorsement quote for the changes, as per the MCG report. The client accepted all changes.
