Ivory’s Rock Comes Alive: Highlights from Ausure Campfest 2025
The Ausure Camping Trip has cemented its reputation as one of the industry’s most unique and anticipated traditions. This year’s event took place from 30th October to 2nd November over Halloween at Ivory’s Rock Campground. It was our first year at this venue and it proved to be a fantastic location for families, partners, brokers, and staff to come together for a weekend of connection and fun. With approximately 250 people attending across the weekend, the 2025 trip continued to highlight the inclusive and close-knit culture that sits at the heart of Ausure.
Since its debut during the COVID period, the Ausure Camping Trip has grown year after year. The 2025 event required six months of dedicated planning by the camping committee: Mick O’Bree, John Mills, Indiana Wagstaff, Bella Wong, Julien Figuereo, Dana Reid, Deb Whyte, and Charline Mitchener. Their commitment, along with the tireless efforts of the Head Office team throughout the weekend, ensured a smooth, welcoming, and memorable experience for everyone. Whether it was unloading cars, coordinating activities, supporting families, or keeping the energy going late into the evenings, the Ausure team once again brought the “we care” ethos to life.
A Big Thank You to Our Sponsors
The Ausure Camping Trip would not be possible without the ongoing support of our valued sponsors. Their contribution enables us to create an event that combines industry networking with family-friendly fun in a way that is truly one of a kind. Many sponsors joined us onsite for the weekend, which added to the strong community atmosphere that the event has become known for.
Holly Butler from Market Lane shared her thoughts on the weekend,
“Thank you so much for having us. Erika and I had such a fun time and could not have asked for a better experience. We appreciate all the effort that went into putting together such a great event and we look forward to coming again in the future.”

A Thank You to Our Incredible Suppliers
A huge thank you goes to the fantastic suppliers who helped bring the 2025 Ausure Camping Trip to life. Their professionalism, quality service, and commitment to the weekend made a tremendous difference to the overall experience.
- Southside Catering kept everyone well fed with delicious meals served throughout the weekend. Their flexibility, friendly team, and consistently high standards ensured that every mealtime was enjoyable.
- The Power Station Coffee Van was a crowd favourite every morning. Their baristas delivered delicious coffees that kept everyone energised and ready for the day’s activities.
- The Chevy Bar kept the adults hydrated all weekend long, offering a great selection of drinks and creating an inviting space for industry partners and families to relax and connect.
A special mention also goes to Ivory’s Rock. The venue and its staff were exceptional. Organising the event with them was a breeze, and their immaculate facilities, professionalism, and support throughout the weekend helped make our first year at this location a success.
Kurt’s Day Celebration
On Saturday, we celebrated Kurt Nilsen from Lion Underwriting during our annual Kurt’s Day. The Lion team put on a BBQ that brought everyone together for a shared moment of recognition, community, and appreciation.
Supporting the Local Community
Giving back is a core Ausure value. This year, all recyclable bottles from the weekend were donated to the Ipswich Men’s Shed, helping support their programs and community work.
Looking Ahead to 2026
The Ausure Camping Trip continues to grow in popularity, and plans for 2026 are already underway. Space will remain limited next year to ensure the event stays intimate, enjoyable, and family friendly. Keep an eye out for the 2026 invitations, and make sure to register early to secure your place.
The Ausure Camping Trip is more than just a weekend away. It is a celebration of the relationships, values, and culture that define our network. It is a chance to connect on a deeper level, spend time with families, and create memories that carry well beyond the campground.
As we reflect on an incredible weekend, Mick O’Bree shared a heartfelt message that perfectly captures the spirit of the event, “I would like to thank every partner, wife, husband, child or significant other who shared their family time with us. We are very lucky in our industry to have plenty of functions, but it can come at a cost to family time. On behalf of our industry, thank you for your support of us! And we very much look forward to welcoming you back next year for more fun and relaxation!”
Here is to another year of unforgettable experiences and friendships in the making.
