Standing Together for Mental Health: Ausure Supports the DUAL Signature Charity Event
Ausure is proud to have supported the 2025 DUAL Signature Charity Event, held on Thursday, 23 October 2025, at Lightspace in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane, in partnership with DUAL Australia. This annual event raises vital funds for the Black Dog Institute, a leading organisation dedicated to improving mental health and preventing suicide through cutting-edge research, education, and innovation.
Empowering Mental Wellbeing
At Ausure, we value meaningful partnerships and genuine community connection, which is why we are honoured to stand alongside DUAL in supporting such an important cause. Mental health impacts individuals, families, and workplaces across every sector, and initiatives like this one help create greater awareness, reduce stigma, and fund programs that can save lives.
The Black Dog Institute plays a crucial role in advancing mental health initiatives across Australia. Through their evidence-based approach, they work to translate world-class research into practical tools and programs that empower people to better understand and manage their mental wellbeing. Their efforts continue to shape national conversations and influence lasting change in how we approach mental health care.
The evening proved to be a vibrant and inspiring gathering, combining entertainment, networking, and purpose – all in the name of supporting better mental health outcomes across Australia.
DUAL’s ANZ CEO and Mental Health Ambassador, Damien Coates shared,
“It’s our third year hosting our signature charity events across Australia and New Zealand, and they continue to grow in scale and impact. It is incredibly rewarding to be part of something that is truly making a difference. We are so proud to keep leading the way in being a force for good, and we absolutely could not do it without the phenomenal support we have received from Ausure and the wider insurance industry.”
Reflecting on the night, Ausure’s General Manager – Operations & Underwriting, Mick O’Bree shared,
“As always, DUAL put on a great event. Mikey Ussher hosted the night and made the evening fun and rewarding. It’s great when our industry gets together like this. Loved it.”
Events like the DUAL Signature Charity Event remind us that when industries unite around a shared purpose, we have the power to create real, lasting impact. By coming together to champion mental health, we help build stronger, more compassionate communities both within our workplaces and beyond.
Ausure is proud to continue its partnership with DUAL and to contribute to the Black Dog Institute’s mission of making mental health a national priority. Together, we can make a difference.
